What’s in a name?

When we were trying to decide what to call this project, we learned that Charlotte, NC’s namesake Queen Charlotte was German royalty from Mecklengburg-Vorpommern. (Mecklenburg County, where the city of Charlotte is located, is named after her birthplace.)

We loved this little thread of history tying together Charlotte and Germany, and wanted to bring it into today. Thus, Mecklenburg Modern.

Will you have merch?

Yes! And if you have special requests, we’re all ears.

Do you feature modern homes for sale?

While we aren’t actively posting about other modern homes for sale right now, we plan to in the future.
